Dunes III: Footprints

I found this photo a few weeks ago and have been sitting on it till I found time to make a constructive comment. The footsteps in the sand and the shading in the crests of the dunes both make for the classic sand dune picture. In that respect I think you got it. You have to work with whatever sky you’re given and I think you were fortunate to have a partly cloudy day as the whiteness of the clouds gives some emphasis to the colors of the sand.

The only less than attractive thing in the photo is the OHV tracks in the sand. I had the same problem at Coral Pink Sand Dunes.
