Yesterday I printed what is probably one of the most hardest shots that my camera has taken, and it turned out great!!! From my Nikon D40 I printed an 18"x12" of this shot here: [link] I didn't know what to expect here because the 13 second exposure introduced a lot of noise, and this was one of the first shots I had printed. I upsampled from 10x6 or something like that at 300 dpi. The results were amazement. There is very little pixelation, and only from up close can you see the noise.

As for my 12 day photographic adventure, I have found a portable card reader/storage thing that is 160gb, so I am only taking 4 8gb cards and that. I am taking 5 batteries, 3 lenses, tripod filters and all of that fun stuff. Here is my potential route...I cannot wait to see what this place looks like in person...[link] I am hoping so very much that there will be some clouds, just some clouds of any kind will fill me with such joy. But August in the Sierra's, at least in Reno, is infamous for "afternoon clouds" that seem to leave by sunset. So hopefully there will be some extremely hot weather in the Central Valley that can lift a few clouds over the mountains to me.
